How you can have the perfect home-run, web based business - you'll do minimum work for maximum profits...
By Andy Brocklehurst
What I am going to show you here is a model for a web based business that can be run at home on a part time basis.
I am a firm believer in working 'smarter' rather than harder. Despite that I do work very hard but that's because I am constantly developing new products and marketing strategies. I am not like many of the so-called "guru's" who don't market anything but 'marketing programs'. I currently sell one product on the web that's not remotely connected to marketing and off-line I sell other products and act as a consultant.
Here is the killer: Out of all my businesses, the web based ones are the nicest ones to run. Once I have a solid product, a high-impact sales letter and a marketing campaign in place the products go onto virtual auto-pilot.
In a moment I'm going to reveal a model for a business. This is the same model that you'll get in the Inner Room Members site, except on the members site it's covered in vastly more detail over 60 or so multi-page reports containing some of my best information ever and two e-books, one of which covers the basics and is written in such a way that even your techno-phobic grandmother could understand it.
Obviously I cannot spell everything out in that much detail here, this is a few page report - compare that to the hundreds of pages of original material on the members site and you can see why. But I will give you my basic success formula, the same formula that is working for a lot of my clients.
Step One: Create a high-demand product in a very short space of time
The first thing you need is a product. I strongly recommend selling some form of information. Informational products can be created yourself, and if delivered electronically can bring virtually 100 percent profits.
Informational products can be created in as little as four hours and can be sold for $29, $49, $67, $149 - depending on the product. Imagine that - $60 a sale, almost 100% profit for something that took you 4 or 5 hours to create. And if you've done it right that product will sell like wildfire.
I don't care if you have never written so much as a half page report before - YOU can create products just like I've just described, in between 4 and 10 hours (it might take you longer but if you know HOW then it shouldn't), that will be so hot they'll sell like ice water in 120 degree heat.
Even if you can't think of anything you know enough about to create such a product - YOU CAN DO IT.
Ask any Inner Room member - on that members site there's a whole bunch of information, tips, tricks, secrets and resources that'll get you generating such products in just a few hours.
But lets get back to the model - this isn't meant to be a sales letter for my products, I just want to make sure you understand that for a very small investment there is a mass of help for those of you who cannot think of a product to create or who don't know how you could create that product in little time.
Step Two: Use a fully automated payment and delivery system
Remember at the start I mentioned working 'smarter?' The one thing you want to avoid is having to be on call all day to process orders, deliver product, etc.
If I had to manually process very purchase of an Inner Room membership I would hardly have a moment to spare for the other important things. You'll want to spend time developing other products, promoting your web site and trying out new marketing systems. By having a fully automated order processing and delivery system you are keeping a lot of time free.
All of my web based products have such a system and the great part is that none of these methods cost me anything up front.
One of my products is sold through Regsoft who allow you to set-up a thank-you e-mail once they've got the payment. I set up that e-mail to tell the customer about a secret url to download the software from and the password I'd applied to the zip file.
The Inner Room membership details are generated 100% automatically with a security check against Clickbanks ticket number. The userid's it generates are unique as are the passwords. I did it using a little perl programming, but if that's too hard for you, or your web host does not support perl, then there are plenty of utilities and free ways to do it.
I'm notified every time a sale is made for any of my products, and then I have a couple of simple ways to double check that all orders have been fulfilled by the automatic system. I've not yet had it fail on me, but if I did I would know and could simply issue the details manually.
I can go on vacation and just check up on sales with a laptop from anywhere in the world. Better still I can ask a friend to keep an eye on things while I am away! What other business will keep running itself?
Step Three: Create a high-impact sales letter.
Once you have that product you need a strong, power-packed sales letter. Even on my free reports pages, if you look at the reports that have been contributed by Bob Leduc, you'll see a basic template for creating a high-impact sales letter - FAST.
This is the sales letter that you'll put on your web page, in fact it might be the ONLY thing on your web page (look around the web and you'll see a lot of highly successful sites that are just a direct response sales page). You'll probably also set up an auto-responder too.
Getting the sales letter right is vital. If its not strong, trust building, benefit packed with a killer offer then it doesn't matter how good your product is - you won't sell any.
Learning to write a killer sales letter is not actually that hard, although you never stop learning. Like all forms of sales literature you'll need to test and tweak it. You can reduce that tweaking and testing a lot by getting it as close to 'right' from the start. Be sure to check out the report I mentioned by Bob Leduc for a good basic outline.
If you need more than a basic outline then for less than you'd spend on a computer game you can can get a lifetime membership to the Inner Room members site.
Step Four: Drive targeted traffic to your site.
Without visitors to your site you won't sell a thing, no matter how 'right' you got the first three steps. But it's not just getting traffic - it's getting targeted traffic that counts.
There are a number of ways to get targeted traffic. They include:
Search Engines
Classified ads (on web sites and in e-zines)
Strategic linking
Banner advertising.
Within all of these there's one basic factor that you need to get right. The ability to write a killer headline. It's the headline that hooks them in. Of course if you're using a classified ad then you must get the rest of the ad right too. The good old "AIDA" format is as good as any to get you started.
I developed a simple little system called "The Magic headline creation system" which will get you creating amazing headlines that pull people in like a strong magnet picking up thumb tacks. I've recently added that easy to use system (seriously, a high school kid could use this) to the members site.
Step Five: Bank the checks
OK, so there are a few other things that you can do to supercharge your efforts. However, this is the basic model to follow if you want to create a successful web business with the least amount of work.
Please don't misunderstand, you'll have to put in fair effort, but if you do it right, it will pay off big time.
If you want help getting all these steps right, and you want to learn tips, tricks and secrets to really super-charge things then you need to check out a membership to the Inner Room. You can try it risk free for sixty days - check it out: http://www.succeed4u.com/inner-room.pl
