The benefits of creating your own items are you don't have to look around car boot sales, suppliers and you'll have a unique product.

Ebooks are excellent as well. Again, there are books on how to write books out there. Once you get started it's not that difficult.

The advantage of ebooks is there is no postage to worry about and your buyers get a carriage free product. Also, once written, you can sell over and over again.

The best advice of all is to see what people are buying first before you buy or create anything to sell. Else you might find you're left with a lemon.

Try going to eBay and doing a search for items like the one you're considering. When the results come up, scroll down the page until you see search options on the left hand side. You'll notice there is a checkbox named 'Show Completed Items Only'. Check the box and click search.

Then simply look through the results to see which items sold. This will take time, however, the results will be worth it.

You'll notice it lists the words in alphabetical order, so again it will take time. But it's worth it. You can click on any word and see what results come up.

The main thing that gets people to your auction is your auction title.

If your title includes words mentioned in the list you searched above then people will find you.
